Our agency specialises in undertaking jobs for clients in the charitable, social and cultural fields.
We're working on setting up a Wordpress-based CMS for the first-time and are happy sorting the design and layout. We have used a couple of plug-ins to help things along, but we have two features we need that have us beat.
What we need is possible, but our knowledge isn't good enough - so it's time to ask for help...
1) We need to show the list of blog posts on a 'Page'. The Home Page has several extra fields on the left (in the sidebar), but we don't know how to show the familiar list of recent blog posts on the right - copying the code for 'The Loop' from the standard index.php doesn't work.
2) Whilst we can use the "Embedded Video" plug-in to allow users to upload video, we need to stick the video in a custom field. At the moment the code from the plug-in is not filtered when the video is added to the new field, so all we get is the raw code.
We can supply a link where you can see our issues in action if appropriate. We would like quotes for this work and also for ongoing site development.
Our budget is very modest.
